Tichounko I got this album right after its release while on Christmas vacation with just my travel earphones. Now I’m back home and the first thing I had to do was to relisten to this wonderful album with my big headphones in order to savour Allister’s new compositions as well as to find out whether what I had heard was real or just my mind playing tricks. Turned out it’s both: the tiny percussion-like sounds hidden deep in the drones are both a psychoacoustic effect and illusion. Magical release indeed.

This album is comprised of three drones overlaid with textures derived 100% from my vocals. Only the underlying drone was not generated from vocals.

The pieces are dedicated to Zen teachers whose talks collected into writings have been of particular influence and comfort in my life. This album would be great for...you guessed it! Meditation.

This is designed for fairly low-volume listening, but if you are the type who prefers to blow your ears out, be my guest! While there is a droning, overwhelming quality, close listening will reveal finer details.
